I FOLLOW JESUS, NOT HUGHES, SCHONBORN, TIMOTHY RADCLIFFE, OR ANY PRIEST IN THIS DIOCESE.

In a former post I was concerned with the meeting of ACTA priests in the diocese and the fact that a liberal bishop whose views were different from the present Bishop was coming to undermine him, and let us not kid ourselves that is exactly what he intended.  Indeed the undermining of the present bishop is growing into a vicious campaign.

Although Pope Francis is not quite the apple of my eye the use of him by these reformers is shameful.
I was listening to a sermon on Sunday when the above names were put into the minds of the parishioners as though they were the cream of orthodoxy which they most certainly are not.   As I predicted also, whatever the exhortation the Pope gave if it were orthodox it would still be twisted in some way into a liberal victory.   This was proved when the priest in his sermon quoted Schonborn.   Apparently Schonborn had claimed that when dealing with divorced and remarried people he asked five questions about their former marriage.   These were about how they came to the situation, did they try to reconcile, etc.   But the objective of these questions was not clear, as in too many ACTA speeches there was the coded message for those who would understand and who opposed the Church.    There was some talk about museums and places of life which was a rather bad choice of comparison but the drift of this was that we now have a very thriving Church in this Diocese.    Just how hypocritical can these priests become.?   When the last bishop retired the Diocese was in a financial mess and the Auditors were refusing to sign the accounts.  The reason was the under the former bishop the numbers of Catholics attending Mass had fallen from over 60,000 to around 40,000.  Yet the bureaucracy of lay people, who were appointed to 'guide us' was untouched.    One through his work in the Diocese was earning over £60,000 per year.     The Diocese was saved, yes saved by the sudden influx of immigrants who came from good Catholic countries and it had nothing whatsoever to do with these priests who are claiming it had something to do with them.   Just look around you on a Sunday morning.

Now I have not intention of taking part in this hypocrisy and being part of a Community which has taken the teachings of Jesus and thrown them into the garbage bin preferring the works and teachings of heretics, yes, heretics.     I love the Catholic Church and so should everyone who reads this.   And if you love Jesus and the Catholic Church it is time you stood up for both.
