In America the Pope put Doctrine into Action - but that Climate Change Nonsense!

He condemned abortion, he condemned the enforcement of Western lifestyles on the weaker nations, he could have mentioned though it was blackmail for Aid.   But on the whole the Pope was very orthodox when it came to Catholicism, as indeed he always has been if you find out what he said rather than listening to what some said he said   This is why he was elected Pope, to teach the Catholic Faith.
Unfortunately when he tries to be an expert on matters he has no calling to, such as Climate Change he makes matters very difficult for himself.  Very few members of Congress or the UN really cared about Catholic Teaching on morality and politely clapped and wished him well, but no thank you.   The business about Climate Change however was something they could use - yes, after a campaign of refusing Universities any grants if they did not teach Climate Change and humans being responsibility, after using the standard plan of telling a lie over and over until it became the truth, and after sneering at anyone who asked for proof, and parcelling them off as deniers we should ignore.  We now all believe that their is a consensus of scientists.   Notice the word proof is not used.   There are of course many scientists who do not fit into this consensus including the Heartland Institute.  Who?  Precisely.
There seemed to be proof around at one time.  Yes, the Arctic did melt and the ice covering melt and you remember the save the poor Polar Bear adverts.   But it went back to 1978 levels.  The South Pole has been very stubborn, that is the Pole that is going to flood all those low lying islands when the water levels rise in the future - everything is in the future.    The ice there has grown to unprecedented levels since it was first measured and all sorts of explanations are put forward - it is warmer underwater which is surfacing and freezing or it is ice breaking off he land shelf.    No unanimity.   And of course despite the warm temperatures in California and Australia who have happened throughout their history there was no rise in temperature this century.   But the Pope says so - OK, OK, I'm beat.  Climate Change will start soon - the Pope says so.  So it is a matter of Faith like Humanae Vitae.

FAIR AS THE MOON, BRIGHT AS THE SUN, TERRIBLE AS AN ARMY SET IN BATTLE ARRAY

'Who is she that comes forth as the morning rising, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army set in battle array'. The meaning of 'virgo Immaculata'

As you will see from the stained glass window the name given to the image is Virgo Immaculata.   Mary was the virgin who remained sinless and spotless.  Yes she would have been tempted by Satan, but as the image shows she kept close to God in prayer and all the wiles of Satan, the forbidden fruit he offered, depictdd by the apple, ended up stuck in his throat while the right foot of Mary crushed his head. "I will put enmity between Thee and the woman and between thy seed and her seed", God tole the serpent in Genesis   Satan was no match for Jesus who was God made Man but he had overcome a mere mortal before in Eve, What a triumph it would have been to destroy she whom Jesus loved above al others - his mother.   But Mary kept close to Jesus and to God, the new Eve, and mother of the new children that the death of Jesus brought into being.    And as Revelations 12 tells us having failed to destroy the birth of Jesus Satan  went after her other children - us.       When
