Return to the Catechism of Christian Doctrine.

 The Catechism of Christian Doctrine continues to confuse me.   Now here is something else I have discovered.   I have poor eyesight and small print I try to avoid,  but I decided to read one of the opening pages that introduced a Summary of the Catechism.    It contained the summary of the Catechism, yes, then a quote from St Paul, then I came across an Imprimatur from John Cardinal Heenan.   I looked at the date 1971.   Now why was there an Imprimatur dated 1971 on a Catechism published in 1985 when the Cardinal was no longer resident in Westminster?  But I had heard a a tape reel recording of the Cardinal in in 1966 when he had returned from the Vatican Council and of course like many other bishops he had not discussed the changes that were implemented by Vatican Committees after the Council.   He set up Corpus Christi College and was led on a merry dance by dishonest clergy who invited teachers and delegates from all over the country to listen to their lies.     He was of course contacted by ordinary faithful catholics but he had every confidence in the Deceivers.   Eventually he knew the truth and closed the college but it was too late, it had run from 67 to 74, and priests and people had swallowed it hook, line and sinker.    Many of the clergy were now  hostile to the Church and no longer believed in the teachings of Jesus Christ.   They joined the state in giving condoms to the young and as we have seen promoted false teaching on adultery.   Of course with no sound teaching the young saw no  reason to attend Church and began to rebel against religion.


I find it sad to see priests and bishops celebrate the Mass and yet show no love for Christ.   I know they show no love for Christ for Christ said "If you love me keep my Commandments". But to keep the young in purity, as Jesus wished, is far from their minds.  They care not for the break up of marriage, the secular agenda of destroying marriage and indeed do not care whether people are living together married or not.  And of course their support for homosexuals is unquestionable.  They just seem to want to live like parasites from the body of the people, but doing nothing for their souls.   O yes, they are great friends and much admired as they show their open mind to dissenters, and mock those who are close to Jesus.   They care not that the poverty in this country is single -parent poverty.   That men just use and abuse women then walk out on them, showing no responsibility for the woman or the child they have fathered.    They do not seem to notice the number of fatherless children, showing problems in their lives and with no hope of a happy future.       They encourage teachers at school to teach sex to the children, and I will not even include the word relations.    Jesus did say "It would be better for them if a halter was put around their neck and they were thrown into the sea"   But why should they take any notice of him, they are very popular with the 'mature adults' in their congregation, whom they make catechists and leaders.    Next September they will join in triumph with the Government in introducing more secular beliefs into the schools.   Here is Dr Joseph Shaw on this.

The incoming legislation is deeply problematic. As Dr. Shaw writes, this "legislation is imposing a program of “Personal, Health, and Sex Education” (PHSE) that demands that choosing not to kill the child in the womb is just one acceptable option among others, and that Christian marriage is just one lifestyle choice alongside same-sex unions and every other possibility. We know from the lesson plans, produced not only by the government, but by the bishops’ own agency, the Catholic Education Service, that children in schools claiming to be Catholic and funded in part by Catholic offertory collections are already bullying, browbeating, and shaming children who dare to give voice to their instinctive regard for natural marriage. This approach will be rolled out and enforced with greater and greater rigor when the new legislation comes into force next year, after a delay caused by the coronavirus 

BUT THEN WHO WOULD CONTRADICT THIS, THE EVIDENCE IS THERE IN THE CATECHISM OF CHRISTIAN DOCTRINE AND THE  TOTAL ABSENCE OF ANY TEACHING IN THE SCHOOLS OR IN THE PULPITS ON WHAT JESUS SAID.

FAIR AS THE MOON, BRIGHT AS THE SUN, TERRIBLE AS AN ARMY SET IN BATTLE ARRAY

'Who is she that comes forth as the morning rising, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army set in battle array'. The above quote will be familiar to only a few Catholics today,   It was once on the lips of members of the Legion of Mary which was present in many parishes.    Fair as the moon and bright as the sun certainly describes Our Lady of Fatima but who exactly is meant by 'terrible as an army set in battle array?'   Certainly Our Lady appeared to ask us to pray for the conversion of sinners many of who were going to Hell for their sins as forewarned by her Son Jesus when he preachedHis Gospel.  Often we are trying and feel we are succeeding in living good lives when suddenly everything goes wrong  Like St Paul we often do the things we do not want to do rather than those that we want to do.   It is because we are involved in a war between Good and Evil and we are the children of Mary that the red Dragon wishes to devour in Revelations 12    We

The meaning of 'virgo Immaculata'

As you will see from the stained glass window the name given to the image is Virgo Immaculata.   Mary was the virgin who remained sinless and spotless.  Yes she would have been tempted by Satan, but as the image shows she kept close to God in prayer and all the wiles of Satan, the forbidden fruit he offered, depictdd by the apple, ended up stuck in his throat while the right foot of Mary crushed his head. "I will put enmity between Thee and the woman and between thy seed and her seed", God tole the serpent in Genesis   Satan was no match for Jesus who was God made Man but he had overcome a mere mortal before in Eve, What a triumph it would have been to destroy she whom Jesus loved above al others - his mother.   But Mary kept close to Jesus and to God, the new Eve, and mother of the new children that the death of Jesus brought into being.    And as Revelations 12 tells us having failed to destroy the birth of Jesus Satan  went after her other children - us.       When
