""Depart from me ye cursed into everlasting fire....." Mathew 25:41

"Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, which was prepared for the Devil and his angels.

These are the words of Jesus which today some people find shocking.   Indeed they get embarrassed and would rather not discuss the matter.   How could Jesus say such things?   No, a loving Jesus would not put anyone into Hell, and Bishops  and priests say "Ah, yes, there is a Hell but we can entertain the hope that nobody actually goes there"   "But the Devil and his Angels are there, so why not humans"    "Now, now, there is no such thing as devils and angels"   "Well OK, I suppose Jesus was just pulling our legs to make us good"   Well that explanation makes sense to our new 'mature adults'.

Of course, if there are no commandments to obey this would become more reasonable and a very popular teaching.    Now we have learned the single people cannot commit adultery unless they choose to have a relationship with a married person, as we have seen in the 'Catechism of Christian Doctrine" approved by the Bishops.    And anyway the Commandments have been reduced to one, as was taught to me once by a priest in my Church.   It has all been reduced to 'LOVE'.   So you can see why many priests tell their communities not to worry about adultery, divorce, homosexuality, etc.    Since we are all going to Heaven anyway why bother with Jesus.   Anyway we have a New Church with a New Jesus.  The old one has been taken from the altar and put in a side chapel, or in another room.    And forget all this Sacrifice nonsense.   The priest is now facing the people to make a circle so that we can feast as a community facd to face.   It is a wonderful New Church.

But let us make sense of all this!   Jesus was quite adamant that the Commandments should be obeyed.   When the Rich you man asked him how to obtain eternal life, "Thou shalt not Kill, thou shalt not commit adultery, etc"  Did He get it wrong.?   One wonders why these mature adults even follow him.      Let us have a look at the first Commandment.  "Thou shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul, with all your mind and all your strength, this is the first and GREATEST commandment.   At the back of their minds our mature adults may also recall that Jesus said, "If you love me, keep my Commandments".   Now in this we can reach an understanding of who can enter heaven.    THOSE WHO LOVE GOD.   Now someone can do good work to profit himself but it does not mean he loves God.   It is only through loving God that we can become perfect as Our Heavenly Father is perfect.    It is only through loving God that we can merit eternal life.    "There will arise false Christs and Prophets who will lead astray many, even the elect...."    "But Lord did we not prophesy in Your name..."   "Depart from me, I know you not..."   "Not everyone who cries to me 'Lord, Lord, shall enter the Kingdom of Heaven but he who DOES THE WILL of our Father in Heaven..."    So stop thinking you are a good priest or bishop if you lead people astray.    Stop supporting abortion, sodomy, and divorce.    Stop thinking that this makes you perfect in the eyes of God.    Christ wants us  to build a Kingdom based on Truth and Love.    You are becoming a hindrance.  You prefer self importance  to the work of Christ.
