World Meeting of Catholic Families, Dublin.

Nest week we will see people from al over the world meeting to defend the family as intended by nature and by God.   There are some who will be there however to attack the family as intended by nature and by God.    A Fr James Martin who believes that gays have a right to their conscience and can therefore ignore the teachings of Jesus, wants a dialogue between those who follow Jesus and those who 'follow their conscience'.    It is just about 'building bridges between one group of people in the Church and another   Having thrown the Blessed Sacrament from the Altar into a corner or another room, the people are the Body of Christ and they can make their own decisions.    It is almost a laughable proposal this idea that those who follow Jesus and love his Commandments, should somehow make room for the who do not.   But Fr James Martin is serious.   He wants Gay Marriages to be recognised by the Church.

Now are Gay Marriages just another form of heterosexual marriage?    I use the two terms nature and God to examine this for even if there is no God nature has made us male and female.    A man and woman have bodies that compliment each other, that brings to full satisfaction the sexual act.   There are problems with Gay sex and I will refer you to the NHS England where gay people cannot give blood unless they have not indulged in sex for twelve months.   In America their health people have much the same restrictions so we should not pretend otherwise. But if a man and a man choose to live with each other because they 'love' each other is this not a family.     Yes, in a way it is but it can never equal marriage between a man and a woman for a man and a woman can have children which is there own flesh and blood, and this is impossible to gays.    Yes, they can have children but to do this they must use the eggs or the sperm of someone of the opposite sex outside their union.   This means in practice that the child only has one parent and the other 'member of the family' is not related.    Now this puts the child at a disadvantage because he or she will always be aware that someone else is their mother or father     Again living close to someone who is not related can be a danger to the child.    The natural affinity between the members of the normal family  cannot be replaced.

It is therefore obvious that a Gay Marriage cannot really be the same as a marriage between a man and a woman and all this shouting about different forms of family is a falsehood.     I have approached this only as nature ordained things to be, but I cannot in a Christian context ignore Jesus Christ and the early Church. though Fr James Martin can.  Homosexuality was always viewed as wrong and sinful inside the Church.   I could quote Scripture yet I know there is always people coming back to tell me that it can be interpreted in another way.   So as a Catholic  I stand by the Authority of the Church instructed by the Authority of Jesus Christ to teach all nations what he has commanded.    Scripture gets its Authority from the Church, the Church does not get its Authority from Scripture.

So because I stand by Jesus and his Church does this make me a person who hates Gays, as Fr Martin contends when his teaching is opposed.   Now I am  equally opposed to the sexual revolution and how young girls are used and abused by young men who have lost their manhood and their protection of women.     Both they and homosexuals are guilty of what Jesus called Adultery.   But it would be inconsistent of the Church to condemn homosexuals while supporting these young men.   They both are asked by Jesus to give their lives to him and sacrifice their lives for him.     Fr James Martin is of no help whatsoever.

I pray fr all who are struggling with sin in its many forms, may it not become a barrier to a soul that wants to love God.
