The Rape of Schoolchildren

I was very pleasantly surprised this morning when I turned on BBC News and found that there was now an interest in young boys raping young girls in schools.    Apparently someone had put up a site and hundreds of young girls, one as young as 9, had replied that they were raped at school by the boys.   A Conservative MP, who was a member of the Government Education Committee said that Police were investigating over 1,000 such allegations.   The Leader of the Opposition Keith Stammer came on to say that, among many things, there had to be a change of culture.    Why were young boys turning up at school with the idea that they could use girls.

Now anyone who has followed my blog will know I have touched on this subject many times.   There are many girls who do not complain and give into the boys, believing it is the grown up thing to do.   After all we see it on soaps on TV, two people meet and within minutes they are sleeping together, so it is not a youth culture but a culture in society.   Now the power of the sex drive cannot be understated, and when young people are sexualised they become slaves to their feelings.    They look for someone who will not just use them but actually care.    Boys who have grown into the sex culture do not, and make sex with no commitment whatsoever.    The girls are left when a baby arrives on their own, either to be a single mother or are talked into an abortion.    In society of course they are seen almost as single mothers by choice, nobody seems to care that a husband or sexual partner has deserted them, no one sees them as they hurt and bravely carry on trying to raise a child or children on their own and give them the love they need, as well as struggling to give their children what other children have.  To politicians they are just the poor.   I know, I have said all this before, but there is also a price the children pay.   But in a society where the role of a father is scorned that does not matter.    And all these stories begin in school.

So there is to be an enquiry.    How I wish that the Catholic Church could say something.    How I wish that the Catholic Bishops could bring the teachings of Christ to this terrible world, especially on marriage and the damage done without marriage.   Yet Catholic Schools are as much guilty as other schools.   The teachings of Christ are just ignored as condoms are handed out.    Shame!
