CARDINAL NICHOLS: An out of touch voice in the Church of Today.

The BBC showed an interview this evening where Cardinal Nichols was discussing with an interviewer his thoughts on refugees.   He seems to have been asleep for a long time.  There has been substantial thinking about refugees among many people and distinctions made between refugees, economic migrants, and Islamic extremists.   He seems unaware that the figures given by the EU themselves show that 70% of the migrants are  young men, many having left their families behind and it is among these that the revolutionary Moslems are hiding.  

He seems unaware of the criminal behaviour of these young men in Germany and Sweden and other countries   He also seems unaware that bombs are going off in France and Belgium which is causing fear among many who would otherwise be ready to invite them into their country.   He blames a climate of fear that has been created.   The climate of fear was not created by any group in this country it was caused by the terror they are seeing in the wake of the migration of Moslems to Europe.   Its seems that natural fear is hard for the Cardinal to assimilate  so he has to look for someone else to blame so that he can talk piously and excuse the violence being done to he people of Europe.    I think the Cardinal should go back to sleep and be allowed to become a Rip Van Winkle.

A Parish in Confusion.

  Dear Friends, With the COVID restrictions being eased this week, I am sending a special message to everyone in the Diocese, welcoming everyone back to Mass. Of course, the pandemic continues, so, we still need to be prudent and to take care in our churches and parishes: see the guidance the Diocese is offering. The meaning of 'virgo Immaculata'

As you will see from the stained glass window the name given to the image is Virgo Immaculata.   Mary was the virgin who remained sinless and spotless.  Yes she would have been tempted by Satan, but as the image shows she kept close to God in prayer and all the wiles of Satan, the forbidden fruit he offered, depictdd by the apple, ended up stuck in his throat while the right foot of Mary crushed his head.
