The Irish Referendum on Gay Marriage.

Well Ireland will soon be going to the polls to say yes or no to Gay Marriage.    It is very sad that the land of saints and scholars should be making such a decision and no doubt the majority will say yes.  There is an Irish TV programme called Mrs Brown in which Mrs Brown has a gay son who has a boyfriend and in one programme they were to get married.   Unfortunately the boys are the epitome of what gays most certainly are not yet people believe that they are.   They are a little eccentric and not too bright in their relationship seeking only to find 'love'.   This likeable pair I suspect are what most of Ireland think gays are, and who would not give out their hearts to them.  But let us look more closely at the question.
I will begin my turning to the Church and saying that in some way you are responsible.   When a person has an opposite sex attraction, it is not helpful to be the first to point the finger of condemnation at him.   The person is who he is with all these feelings and the feelings themselves are not sinful yet the Church has failed to help anyone with these feelings and the first words the person hears is "It is sinful".    Then perhaps he is made unwelcome among people in the Church who do not trust him.   If we had good priests who would lead him along the road to realising that you can live a celibate life and a normal life within the Church we would really show him how much he was valued.     But the only priests who rush to help are those with no spiritual insight or knowledge of what the person really needs   "It does not matter" they tell him in an enthusiasm of 'love' and condemn him to a lonely and unhappy life.    These priests have no understanding that sin has consequences  on people's lives whether they are 'following their conscience' or not.

Now to the homosexual lifestyle.   The first thing that should be noted by all the 'open-minded' is that Gays do not believe in marriage.   There is a tape taken at gay meetings where the prominent gay activists actually admit this, but the marriage bill is a 'way forward'.   Then take the Green leader Natalie Bennett who at the British election visited Pink News where she was asked if she would support a three person marriage since many gays were involved in this and marriage would help them financially.    There is the case of Professor Anderson at Winchester University who is a gay and who is married.   But this is not enough and admitting that he wanted gays to experience all that was open to them he gave the example by having two babies by surrogacy.    He then went to Oxford and boasted that he had had over 1,300 partners and before he died he wanted over 1,000 more, and especially with younger men.  Remember he is a Sports Director at a University    Now what chance have these children for a normal upbringing and I wonder what Social Services would be doing if I had boasted in public of my obsession with sex.    The Police in Britain are now reporting that the most violent domestics they attend are with a gay couples, indeed the interest in arresting homophobics is very much on the decline.   Did you know that at the beginning of 2013 the National Health Service in Britain renewed its ban on Gays being blood donors.   Yet before I get more headlines in my local press let me say as I said at the beginning, gays were let down by the Churches because they almost had no choice but to follow  that repugnant style of life which because it is sinful has terrible consequences.    You do not have to go along with me, just ask the most despised people, members of Courage and Encourage who left the lifestyle and are trying hard not to return.  The need your prayers also at this time.
