Thy Kingdom Come,

One of the teachings of the Church from the time of the Apostles is that adultery is wrong,    Adultery is not a relationship with a married person, which is as popular myth, but two people engaged in sex outside of marriage.   Jesus in the Gospels condemned this practice and indeed made this comment   'You have heard it said Thou shall not commit adultery, but I say to you, if anyone looks at a woman to lust after her he has already committed adultery with her in his heart'.      Now I wonder in how many bible study groups this particular passage is studied?   If you start lusting after women then the sexual urge within you is so powerful that it becomes like a drug dominating your personality, and the power of love which sexual attraction is there to satisfy, becomes a selfish taking for pleasure of another to whom there is no commitment.   You become a slave to your passion and soon find it difficult to follow the teaching of Jesus.

I am writing this in an almost post Christian world where the absence of teaching on chastity has led to a collapse of marriages and faithfulness within marriage,    There is also the question of poverty which politicians shout from the rooftops, and when we examine this poverty closely, which politicians never do, we find we are dealing with mainly single parent families, women who have been used and abused by men who had no commitment to them and just walked out when a baby was on the way feeling they had no obligation to the woman or the child.   Then there are the fathers who 'fall in love' with someone else' and just have to abandon their wives and children for 'love'

O, yes, politicians will go on about the poor deprived children and when these children without a father start being violent and using knives on one another because they have lacked the discipline and insight and wisdom of a father, do they acknowledge this?    No, too many politicians come from a Marxist background and acknowledgement of what Jesus taught about the family, they have no interest in: tonight I heard on a BBC programme that nobody has discovered how to solve the knifing problems.     Christians who follow Jesus do.    It is time we studied what Jesus said about the issues of today, and instead of choosing passages of the bible for comfortable reading, look instead at the passages we do not like reading.   Do anything, but if you love Jesus you will keep his  Commandments.   Of curse that is what Jesus said
