BEHOLD THE LAMB OF GOD

One of the elders then spoke and asked me "Who are these people dressed in white robes, and where have they come from?"  I answered him "You can tell me, sir"    Then he said "These are the people who have been through the great trial: they have washed their robes white again in the blood of the lamb. That is why they are standing in front of God's throne and serving Him day and night: and the One who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them.  They will never hunger or thirst again, sun and scorching wind will never plague them, because the Lamb who is at the heart of the throne will be their shepherd and will guide them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away all tears from their eyes"    Revelations 7: 13-17

When John began preaching in the desert he saw Jesus approaching and called out "Behold the Lamb of God, behold Him who takes away the sins of the world"   This is echoed by the priest at every Mass before we take Him in Holy Communion.  And when the community has eaten the Lamb of God is placed in reserve into the Tabernacle, His tent.    This means that we the living, who also face trials and persecutions in our lives also stand in service to await the orders of our King, or in praise we prostrate ourselves as the angels, for in every Catholic Church there should be a tabernacle in front of us, a tent where we stand or kneel before the Lamb present in the tabernacle in His Sanctuary and in His temple, that He might spread His tent over us.
