Society of St Pius X ready to join mainstream Church.

There is one priest whom I respect very much and that is Bishop Fellay of the SSPX.   In the SSPX there are many different kinds of people just as in he main stream Church and in both there are those who want to make me scream.  It is just the rich tapestry of life needing a wash.
But Bishop Fellay is a man you cannot but like he is humble and listens to others and is full of wisdom.
It is sad that it has taken this man so long to find approval at theVatican, but quite simply there were Cardinals who did not want the Latin Mass nor Catholic teachings and the teachings of Jesus were relegated to 'rules and abstract thinking' not in line with 'a modern Church'.   To the present Pope's credit and he gets very little these days, he has been talking to the bishop for some time and first enraged the modernists by calling them Catholics and then giving them faculties in Confession during the Year of Mercy.   It was almost as if he was feeling his way.   Whatever his faults this Pope has a mind of his own and when he puts his mind to something he usually achieves.
I am glad the SSPX are in mainstream again although I am aware that to some modernist bishops who have gone along with doctrine as rules and abstract principles' will be working out a strategy to silence them.

When my thoughts recently on the neglect of  children of the divorced or single parents went to various blogs and websites the only blog that helped was the SSPX.   The mainstream Church studiously have refused to look at their failures and as far as fortress Church is concerned they are scared to put their noses out of the door and are just content in building up loving congregations which do not worry about the problems outside.   There will be no seeking of any lost sheep.

So I look forward to the new Church enriched by the SSPX.   Yes, there will be problems.  The smug modernist Church will be shaken a little but I believe that this is in God's plan.
