First we had Fatima, then we had Akita. The message was the same. Both were accompanied by miracles.

My dear daughter, listen well to what I have to say to you. You will inform your superior. As I told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never have seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity...the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by My Son. Each day recite the prayer of the Rosary. With the Rosary pray for the Pope, bishops and the priests. The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, and bishops against other bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres...churches and altars sacked; the Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord. The demon will be especially implacable against souls consecrated to God. The thought of the loss of so many souls is the cause of my sadness. If sins increase in number and gravity, there will be no longer pardon for them. With courage, speak to your superior. He will know how to encourage each one of you to pray and to accomplish works of reparation. It is Bishop Ito, who directs your community. You have still something to ask? Today is the last time that I will speak to you in living voice. From now on you will obey the one sent to you and your superior. Pray very much the prayers of the Rosary. I alone am able still to save you from the calamities which approach. Those who place their confidence in me will be saved.[7].

The above are the words of our Lady of Akita.

Objection 1.   These are private revelations we do not have to believe.   Answer....Now ins so far as belief in the Catholic Faith is concerned there is nothing here which adds to or takes away from Church teachings.   But there is a matter of prudence here.   If God made a vision of the sun dancing and almost crashing to earth for over 70,000 people then He is serious.   He expects us to notice.

Objection 2   I am a good Christian and I do not believe in such a God.   Answer... A Christian is one who follows Christ    Christ is theWord made flesh, God Himself who lived amongst us     If he said "Depart from me ye cursed into everlasting fire prepared for the Devil and his Angels"  So thee is  a Hell and souls go there.   Further you are following a false Christ and destroying the message of Salvation in the Catholic Church.

Objection 3  This is all gloom and doom, I am an adult and I do not want such a religion.  No I am happy as I am.   Answer......There is only doom and gloom for those who will not follow Christ and his teachings.   This is actually a message of hope.   You can actually change the world and save souls by saying the Rosary, and doing small acts of Penance and Reparation.   "If anyone will come after me, let him take up his Cross daily and follow me" said Jesus.  No we are not called to Christ in order live cosy lives where the only call upon us is to meet with nice people and have nice chats on a Sunday morning.  And every day in the Our Father we say ".....Thy Kingdom come...."  But has it?   We are tho ones who have failed Christ, we talk about evangelisation, we talk about changing the world, we talk about many things but it is all talk.  Conversion to the teachings of Christ, the true teachings of Christ we are too scared to even think of..   The rejection of Fatima and Akita is a rejection of Christ, we are actually salt that has lost its flavour.

Objection 4.  But we are in an ecumenical age.   How can we be an inclusive Church, how can we build up Christianity unless we are silent on Devotion to Mary, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, and all those childish devotions.    Answer.......Is that what Christ wanted, an inclusive Church, where it did not matter what you believed.   If it does not matter what you believe then it does not matter what you do and this is demonstrated by our approach to young people where we excuse the lack of chastitiy, the breakdown of marriage and a pagan philosophy that sin does not matter.   Sin has destroyed lives and has destroyed our society.   And those whom Christ called will be the first at the day of judgement to be called forward to explain.

Objection 5.   In the rosary we just babble like children, it is not for adults.     Answer......The rosary and scripture go together.  The Mysteries go through special events in the life of Jesus from the announcement of his coming at the Annunciation to His Death and Resurrection.   To meditate on these events on a daily basis surely enriches our understanding of him and advances our spirituals life.   It is a practice that has been in the Church for hundreds of years and participated in by every class of person from peasant to Pope.   But when Our Lady asks us to say the rosary for the conversion of sinners she draws our attention to another important point and that is that the Rosary is not just for our personal profit but a practice in which we embrace the whole world.    The Our Father and the Hail Mary is always about us and not me.   Concentration is difficult, yes, but we should help children by not overloading them.   Perhaps one decade per day is a means of beginning the practice which means that in one week then one decade is said and Mother Mary will pray with the children.   For all my words here I find concentration difficult but remember that Mary is always praying with you, as she did with Bernadette at Lourdes and with the children at Fatima.
